Name of Recipe: Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich

    Details

  • Prep Time: 15 min.

  • Bake Time: 25 min.

  • Decoration Time: 15 min.

  • Difficulty: Easy

  • Yield: Makes 16 servings.




Ingredients
__________________



  • 1 box (19.9 oz. each) brownie mix


  • 3 ½ cups vanilla lowfat frozen yogurt


  • ½ cup M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies


  • 2 8-inch round cake pans


  • Wax paper






Directions

  • 1.
    Prepare the cake pans by greasing them and lining the bottoms (not the sides) with wax paper.




  • 2.
    Prepare brownie mix according to the package directions. Divide batter between the two prepared cake pans.




  • 3.
    Bake according to the package directions. Remove and cool completely.




  • 4.
    Run a small paring knife around the edges of each brownie, loosening it from the pan.




  • 5.
    Invert one layer onto a cookie sheet, and spread vanilla ice cream on top, coming right to the edge (you can slightly soften the ice cream first).




  • 6.
    Place the other brownie layer on top, and press gently to secure. Place in the freezer until firm, about 2 hours.




  • 7.
    Just before serving, press M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies into the ice cream.




  • 8.
    Cut into thin wedges and serve right away.

Name of Recipe: Gobbled-up Cupcakes

  • Yield: Makes 24 cupcakes.


Ingredients

  • 1 box (18.25 oz.) yellow cake mix


  • 36 pieces STARBURST® Fruit Chews


  • 3 cups prepared chocolate frosting


  • 24 thin chocolate wafers


  • 24 pieces thin pretzel sticks


  • 24 TWIX® Brand Miniatures


  • ¼ cup M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Mini Baking Bits


  • Fall-colored paper cupcake liners


  • Small rolling pin


  • Scissors


  • Resealable plastic bag



Directions
______________________




  • 1.
    Prepare cake batter according to instructions on box. Divide batter evenly into paper-lined cupcake cups.




  • 2.
    Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for approximately 18-20 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.




  • 3.
    Meanwhile, soften STARBURST® Fruit Chews (about 6 at a time) in the microwave for 2 to 3 seconds. Flatten them with a rolling pin and immediately cut into feathers using scissors. Use any red STARBURST® Fruit Chews scraps to make the waddle.




  • 4.
    Frost the top of each cupcake. Using the scissors, snip a corner off of the resealable plastic bag and spoon 1 cup of chocolate frosting into the bag. For the tail: Pipe a line of frosting across the chocolate wafers and arrange three feathers on each one. Press pretzel stick to support wafer and press it into the cupcake. For the head: Pipe 4 dots on the short end of a TWIX® Cookie Bars candy to stick on the M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies eyes, nose and STARBURST® Fruit Chews waddle.

  • Yield: Makes 116 servings.




Ingredients

  • 5 ounces (1/2-10oz bag) marshmallows



  • A few drops green food coloring



  • 3 cups crisp rice cereal



  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter



  • 1 1/2 cups prepared vanilla frosting



  • 3 cups M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays



  • 1 red satin bow(s)







Directions

1.
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and tint with food coloring. Mix in crisp rice cereal.






  • 2.
    Coat your hands with butter and form mixture into a ring on wax paper. (Ring should be about 7 inches in diameter.)




  • 3.
    Stir a few drops of food coloring in the frosting until blended thoroughly. Reserve 1/4 cup and set aside. Using a butter knife or spatula, spread a thin layer of frosting over the entire ring.




  • 4.
    Place green M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holiday all over the ring. For any open spots, dab some of the vanilla frosting on the back of the green M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holiday and place where needed.




  • 5.
    Dab frosting on the red M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays, and place 3 candies in a cluster to create berries.




  • 6.
    Dab frosting on the back of the bow, and place on wreath. Slice to serve.
